Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd., co. (XCMG) was founded in 1943. Before that, there was the Huaxing Iron Works company, which is the ancestor of XCMG. XCMG entered the construction machinery sector with the successful production of the first tower crane in 1957. Later, XCMG was officially established and became the first group company in the sector. In 1996, XCMG started trading on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

XCMG is currently ranked 65th in the list of the Top 500 Companies in China, 44th in the list of China’s Top 100 Manufacturing Enterprises and 2nd in the list of the Top 100 Machinery Manufacturers in China. XCMG has risen to the third place in the world in the Yellow Table, which lists the world’s largest manufacturers of construction equipment by their sales. XCMG currently has more than 100 industry-leading equipment in China, including the world’s largest crane and China’s largest excavator. In addition, XCMG has 9 companies and products that have won championships in 5 different business areas. It has the highest market share in 9 product categories in China, and it bears the highest market shares in the field of mobile cranes as well. In addition, it holds first and second consecutive worldwide market shares of concrete equipment and piles. It continues to work with a “green” factory at the national level and a national green supply chain management organization.

XCMG products are sold in more than 185 countries and regions around the world. XCMG has R&D centers, manufacturing facilities and factories in more than 10 countries, including Germany, Brazil, the United States and India. Recently, XCMG has incorporated three European companies, including Schwing. XCMG has invested heavily in 97% of the countries in the Belt and Road Initiative. With its export and overseas revenues, XCMG has become the first of the industry in China.
